Copenhagen Talks takes place September 23rd to 25th 2010. Read about it here and contact us directly with any questions. Let´s Talk!
COPENHAGEN TALKS is a non-profit organization that arranges conversation festivals based on appreciative inquiry. The main goal of the organization is to bring appreciative inquiry and the power of positive talks to as many people as possible. The first festival will take place from 23-25 September 2010 in Copenhagen.
The purpose of Copenhagen Talks is threefold:
- resolve conflicts through dialogue
- support the City of Copenhagen in solving specific social challenges
- inspire the wider international community on how to create local changes through appreciative inquiry.
COPENHAGEN TALKS offers guided conversations - talks - to the citizens of Copenhagen, whom are seeking a change in life. Experienced AI consultants (so-called Talk Pilots) will facilitate the talks, making sure that the participants end up finding new ways to address any challenges or difficulties in their everyday life. COPENHAGEN TALKS is a unique event because it invites ALL the citizens of Copenhagen to engage in talks over three days everywhere in the city, including public spaces, public transportation, coffee shops etc.
The Talk Pilots and other participants involved are volunteers; all the talks are, thus, for free. During the festival crash courses on appreciative inquiry will also be offered free of charge.
The festival is supported by the Municipality of Copenhagen and other partners. Every year a festival will be hosted by a new city. In 2011 it is going to be in Cape Town, South Africa.
